Northeast Aquatic Research

At Northeast Aquatic Research (NEAR) I worked as an Aquatic Ecology Technician in 2021 and 2022. Through firsthand field research techniques and exploring the importance of a strong team work ethic outdoor conditions, I felt inspired to pursue applied research.

Field Skills

I conducted both terrestrial and aquatic water quality sampling techniques in streams and lakes. Using rake tosses, I surveyed and identified submerged aquatic plants across NY and CT

Technical Skills

My time at NEAR brought me firsthand experience in R coding, technical report writing, bioremediation research, and applied limnology
